After reviewing the cost of construction and renovation for Unit-05 and Unit-06 and including the cost of vertical accessibility, we have realized an economic hardship with the ADA Lift cost greater than 20%. The City of Orlando Building Official Roy Eden has directed us to contact the Accessibility Advisory Council. We are now seeking relief with a vertical accessibility waiver from the Accessibility
Advisory Council due to economic hardship in accordance with Florida Statue 553.512 which is compliant with 28 C.F.R. s. 36.403(f)(1).

The addition of Unit-05 to the remainder of the office suite has triggered vertical accessibility. What was intended to be a simple addition of existing office and warehouse space has escalated and the addition of the ADA lift is 35% of the total construction cost.




The uploaded narrative letter includes two bids for the ADA lift with installation and two bids from a second contractor to perform the building modification to receive the ADA lift.
