Grounds for waiver.

10. Grounds for Waiver: The Florida Building Commission may grant waivers of Florida-specific accessibility requirements upon a determination of unnecessary, unreasonable or extreme hardship. Please describe how this project meets the following hardship criteria. Explain all that would apply for consideration of granting the waiver.

NOTE:**

Need Additional Space

The cost of compliance to add an elevator and substantial redesign costs to include an elevator would be a hardship to the owner. Since all services are available equally on both floors, we believe we are meeting the minimum Federal ADA requirements.

07.01.22: Uploaded updated Elevator proposals for two different lift options. Each proposal from the contractor (number 1 and 2) have the same items included except each shows a different elevator proposal. If an elevator is required an additional electrical panel will also be required which is included in the revised elevator proposal cost. This is not only expensive but also has a very long lead time.
