The construction documents were submitted to the Building Department for review and was rejected since an elevator or lift was being requested. But due to the nature of the Business and the location of the proposed building, it would be hazardous for any handicapped person to access the proposed building, which is not permitted access to the public.

10. Grounds for Waiver: The Florida Building Commission may grant waivers of Florida-specific accessibility requirements upon a determination of unnecessary, unreasonable or extreme hardship. The financial cost would be approximately $40,000 which is unnecessary to be spent on the proposed building due to the nature of the type of work required to be performed, such work which could not be performed by a handicapped person. Additionally, the Main Personnel Building (on Site) provides full compliance with the Florida ADA and can be occupied and accessed by Handicapped persons, which is also open to the general public.
