The building that we are interior remodeling is an old structure from 1940. This kind of buildings there were not designed to have an elevator. since the major issues here is that there is no place to have a shaft and build it up without rebuild the entire building.. For this particular case I have placed at the first floor an hydraulic elevator which will help the handicap to reach not only the apartment but also the lobby which is flush in the entire area at this side of the building. so will be not necessary to brake in a half a building to place a concrete shaft which will be out of any economical possibility to the owners to continue with the remodeling,we also required to make 3 apartments with all the doors of 36" and the rest of the apartments leave it existing construction 32"
