Description: Existing building is metal building with 2,080 sf of retail/office space in front and 8,050 sf of warehouse space in the back. There is open storage space above the retail/office space accessible only from the warehouse area. We are building out about half the storage space into some office space. There will be no access by the public. The space will be for employees only.

I assumed the project from another builder. I had permits re-issued in my name as the contractor of record. when the elevator issue came before me, I quickly found the disproportionate cost exemption and assumed that we would easily be exempted from the requirement of an elevator.
