Short Course Description This course discusses the requirements of Chapter 3, 4 and 6 in the Florida Building Code. The course will provide an understanding of different occupancy groups, incidental use areas, accessory areas, mixed occupancy buildings and types of construction. When the course has been completed, the contractor will be able to classify the occupancies within a building, determine incidental and accessory use areas, understand separated and non-separated uses in a mixed occupancy building, and know the different types of construction.
