Short Course Description This course discusses the requirements of Chapter 10 – Means of Egress in the Florida Building Code. The course will provide an understanding egress and exiting requirements including how to calculate occupant load, how many exits are required, exceptions for a single means of egress, egress door requirements, stairs and travel distance. When the course has been completed, the contractor will understand the terminology utilized in Chapter 10, determine the number of exits required based on calculated occupant load, stair requirements, door egress requirements and travel distance.
