Cost of Construction:

Comments:

Please note, when I bought this building, it had been vacant for a number of years...and it had some deterioration in certain areas...I have done some minor repairs, to keep it from deteriorating further...for example, a tree had damaged part of the roof... bees had built a hive in the attic... some water damage occurred... I temporarily repaired some of this in certain places, along with minor painting...

8. Project Status: Please check the phase of construction that best describes your project at the time of this application. Describe status.

*Briefly explain why the request has now been referred to the Commission.

Before I started this project, I contacted the ADA in Wash. D.C. about the elevator requirements...I was told that my building would be exempt because it is only 2 stories high and each story is less than 3000sq ft...so, I went ahead and spent considerable costs to move forward with the project...I am currently at the Manatee County Plan Review stage, trying to get a remodeling permit, and I am now told that the State of Florida has a separate ADA requirement for elevators...which I was not aware of prior to this point...so, anyway, my purpose for this request, and how I was eventually referred to this commission, was to apply for an elevator waiver, for my building...
