The POC voted unanimously, 5-0 in favor, to recommend that the Commission dismiss the complaint and related investigation regarding Zion Tile Corporation of Miami’s product FL 16057 – R1, on the basis there is insufficient evidence demonstrating a Florida approved product (FL 16057-R1) is deficient, and therefore the Commission has no jurisdiction on the matter.

The Commission voted unanimously, 24-0 in favor, to dismiss the complaint and related investigation regarding Zion Tile Corporation of Miami’s product FL 16057 – R1, on the basis there is insufficient evidence demonstrating a Florida approved product (FL 160557-R1) is deficient, and therefore the Commission has no jurisdiction on the matter.
Status of FL 16057-R1:
2010 Florida Building Code (FBC) - FL 16057 – R1 was approved as complying with
the 2010 FBC.
5th Edition (2014) FBC - FL 16057 has not been approved as being in compliance with the 5th Edition (2014) FBC
