Objective – Provide comments to the Rule Development Workshop “Rule 61G20-1.001, F.A.C.” of June 8, 2016 for the purpose of reviewing proposed code language for the implementation of HB 535.

Objective: Provide comments to the Rule Development Workshop “Rule 61G20-1.001, F.A.C.” of June 8, 2016 for the purpose of reviewing proposed code language for the implementation of HB 535: Proposed Code Changes

Section 17(15): Provides for clarification for when mechanical equipment on a rooftop (during reroofing) must be installed in accordance with the FBC.
Comment # 1 (HB 535 – Section 17(15): JDB Code Services Inc./Joe Belcher

 

Sections 19(6): Provides for phased-permitting for construction documents.

Section 23 (3c): Provides that roof covering replacement or repair work associated with the prevention of degradation of the residence does not trigger the requirements to upgrade opening protections for the residence.

Section 39: Provides for requirements for local enforcement agencies to post their building permit applications on their website and to specify the format in which completed application must be submitted.
