COMMISSION MEMBERS pResent: CHAIRMAN; BRIAN SWOPE, REMINGTON BROWN, JIMMY BUCKNER, BILLY CONE, Rob Whitcombe for CHUCK GOLDSMITH, LORRAINE ROSS, MARK ZEHNAL

Ø Objective: To review and accept the Final Report for the research projects on the Corrosion of Roofing and Screen Enclosure Fasteners and a research project on the Impact of Spray Foam Insulation on the Durability of Plywood and OSB Roof Decking

MEETING MINUTES
1)	Reviewed and Approved Meeting Agenda
2)	Approved Minutes of April  01, 2015 Roofing TAC Meeting
3)	Final Report for the Research Project on the Corrosion of Roofing and Screen Enclosure Fasteners. The TAC viewed a presentation of the final report by Dr. Kurtis Gurley of the University of Florida Engineering School for Sustainable Infrastructure & Environment. Specimens in the study were assigned a corrosion scale score of 1-8 varying on the degree of corrosion observed. The study showed that fasteners have wide degrees of corrosion resistance. It was noted by the TAC that information on whether these were imported fasteners. Dr. Gurley noted the request and will make this available in the final report. The TAC voted unanimously to approve the report.
4)	Final Report for the Research Project on the Impact of Spray Foam Insulation on the Durability of Plywood and OSB Roof Decking ( Report PreDraft ) The TAC viewed a presentation of the final Report by Dr. David Prevatt of the University of Florida Engineering School for Sustainable Infrastructure & Environment. Dr. Prevatt mentioned that some data is still being collected. The TAC voted unanimously in favor to approve the report with the removal of section 7.7.1 Health Effects Studies which was deemed not part of the scope of the project.
5)	To recommend and discuss potential research topics for consideration by the Building Commission. The TAC recommended that a Roofing TAC meeting before the Commission meeting is needed to discuss further the continuation of the Corrosion of Roofing and Screen Enclosure fasteners and the Impact of Spray Foam on the Durability of Plywood and OSB Roof Decking and also to discuss more projects for consideration in the next fiscal year.
