1.)    What is an advanced course?

A.)   Explain the differences between a licensing CE course  and FBC codes related course (including explaining involvement of two state agencies for review)

B.)   Explain that advanced course is different from core codes courses

C.)   Identify the physical makeup of a course

D.)   Explain/show what a syllabus looks like (Example attachment)

E.)    Explain 50% rule regarding code content

F.)    Describe/show what a course evaluation might look like (Example attachment)

 

2.)    Why do advanced courses exist?

A.)   Explain reasons/purposes/benefits

 

3.)    How to register as a training provider

A.)   (Registering with DBPR) Tell them it is a prerequisite to FBC provider application and include info. on where to go within DBPR to find out

B.)   Describe steps in BCIS re how to register as a provider (Attach the actual form)

 

4.)    How to fill out application for a new course

A.)   Explain the steps re how to create a PDF file (Especially a Powerpoint to a PDF) Mention ADOBE Acrobat.

B.)   Describe steps in BCIS re how to apply for a new course (Attach actual form)

C.)   Describe how to upload course materials (Attach screenshots of BCIS)

D.)   Describe how to upload larger than normal files into BCIS

 

 

5.)    How does the accreditation process work?

A.)   Show general flowchart figure depicting steps of process (Attachment)

B.)   Explain basic process of working with an accreditor

C.)   Describe steps in BCIS re how to find an approved accreditor (Attach screenshot)

D.)   Show example of notice received as an email after course is accredited (Attachment)

 

6.)    How to get a new  advanced course approved

A.)   Define a new course---An actual new course or course where delivery format has changed (E.g., Instructor led to online)

B.)   Describe the steps---Must be accredited, etc.

C.)   Course is placed in the “Pending FBC Action” file in BCIS (Attach screenshot)

D.)   Explain timeline---For inclusion on agenda for FBC approval, the course must be placed  in the “Pending FBC Action” file no later than 23 calendar days prior to next regularly scheduled FBC meeting

E.)    Explain what an “administratively approved” course is

 

7.)    How to update an advanced course

A.)   Explain reason for updating, “so courses are current with new code or code changes”

B.)   How to update---Check code references and concurrent material against new code or code changes

C.)   Explain timeline, “on or before effective date of new code”

 

8.)    Describe the course audit process

A.)   Explain reasons for an audit

B.)   Describe the steps of an audit

C.)   Describe/show form to be used by an auditor
