MEETING OBJECTIVES

Ø To accept public input and to provide recommendations on the proposed code changes for the 2017 update to the Florida Building Code.

Called  to Order

 

1)

Review and Approval of April 4, 2016 Meeting Agenda.  The meeting agenda was approved by the TAC as posted.
Review and Approval of March 2, 2016 Meeting Minutes. The March 2, 2016 meeting minutes were approved as posted.

 

2)

To discuss and accept public input and provide recommendations on the proposed code changes for the 6th Edition 2017 update to the Florida Building Code.

The Committee discussed and accepted public input on Twelve (12) Proposed Code odifications for proposed code changes for the 2017 update to the Florida Building Code, including technical amendments.  Six mods were approved as submitted. One mod was approved as modified. Five mods received NAR.

 

3)

To discuss and make recommendations to the Commission regarding whether further discussion is necessary to finalize the study regarding minimizing electrocutions linked to swimming pools as directed by HB 535.

Dwight Wilkes made a motion to continue joint meetings for further discussion coming from a non-compensated TAC member. The motion was seconded by David Rice and received a unanimous vote.
