TAC Objectives |

Ø Objective - The
purpose of these meetings is to accept public input and to provide
recommendations on the proposed code changes for the 2013 update to the
Florida Building Code. |

Objective |
Review
of objectives included the following: Description of issue, public comment, discussion by TAC, TAC action. |

1) |
Welcome and Opening Remarks by Chairman Herminio Gonzalez and
facilitator, Jeff Blair. Meeting began at 10:04a.m. |
|
2) |
Roll Call was
taken and a quorum was achieved with six members present. |
|
3) |
Review and
Approval of Meeting Agenda Motion to
approve agenda was presented by John O’Connor and seconded by Bob Boyer. Vote unanimous to accept agenda as
presented. Motion to
approve minutes of previous meeting of June, 2012 by Tim Tolbert and seconded
by Bob Boyer. Vote unanimous to accept
minutes as presented. |

To discuss and
accept public input and provide recommendations on the proposed code changes
for the 2013 update to the Florida Building Code. The Code Admin
TAC reviewed 81 Proposed Code Modifications.
The TAC made recommendations as follows: fourteen (14) were approved ‘As
Submitted’, twelve (12) were approved ‘As Modified’, thirty (30) received ‘No
Affirmative Recommendation With a Second’, twenty-three (23) received ‘No
Affirmative Action Without a Second’, and two (2) were ‘Withdrawn’. For complete

Commission business: No other
business was brought before the Code Administration TAC. |

Several
members of the audience expressed appreciation for the new electronic code
submittal format and all of the hard work of the staff in preparation for this
and all TAC meetings to be held in preparation for the 2013 Florida Building
Code. |

Member Comment: Chairman Gonzalez thanked all TAC members
and staff for their hard work. |
|
8) |
